The Andaman Sea is a part of the Indian Ocean and covers an area of almost 800000 square kilometers. It boarders on the north the Bay of Bengal, to the west the Andaman Islands and south half way through the strait of Malacca. The average depth is 900 meters and the maximum dropp 3800 meters. 

 

Diving

According to marine biologists and scientist the Indian Ocean and part of it the Andaman Sea is one of the richest Oceans in marine life on the planet, only toped by the seas around Papua Neuguinea. 

The most famous divesites are along Thailands and Myanmars west coast. A state of the art dive infrastructur and a relaxed tropical holiday destinations makes the Kingdom of Thailand an excellent dive destination with easy access.
